A bucket filled with lisianthus in white, soft pink, and lavender.

What do I need to know about picking up my order?

  • The flowers will all be in buckets with water. There might be condensation on the buckets. Plan your transport vehicle accordingly.
  • Most of the flowers are at least sort of tall so they won't likely fit in the trunk of a sedan.
  • If you ordered six buckets of flowers, make sure you have room to put six buckets of flowers.
  • Most SUV's and hatchbacks have plenty of room.
  • You may take the buckets with you. You do not have to bring them back. But you can if you want us to reuse them.
  • You can also bring some buckets with you to transfer your order. 5 gallon buckets are too big. Don't bring those.
  • Or you could even bring some clean vases packed into a box. That would be good if you ordered the Bits and Bobs bucket.

How much is in a bunch?

We sell everything in single variety bunches. All bunch sizes are also listed in the product description in the shop.  Generally speaking, a bunch is:

  • 10 Stems: Most single-stemmed flowers (e.g. snaps, zinnias, tulips)

  • 5 Stems: Premium products (e.g. large dahlias, tall foxgloves, large coxcombs)

  • 15 Stems: Smaller, daintier blooms (e.g. sweet peas, bunny tails, geum)

  • Grower's Bunch (Variable): Items that have a variable amount of blooms/greenery per stem (e.g. lisianthus, bupleurum, eucalyptus)

  • Grower's Bunch (Handful): Flowers harvested by the handful (e.g. mint, grasses, native wildflowers)

Flower Care Tips (So Your Blooms Stay Beautiful):

  • No Fridge Needed: Your flowers don't need to be refrigerated. Just keep them in a cool, dark place away from extreme temperatures and dryness (a basement, a closed office, or a cool garage works great!).

  • Vase Life: Most of our flowers last 5-12 days (it's variety dependent) if you treat them right.

  • Water is Key: Keep the stems in clean water always.

  • Foliage Check: Remove any leaves below the waterline to keep things fresh and clean.

  • Ready to Go: Your order will be waiting for you in fresh water with a conditioning solution (if needed). You can transfer this solution to your buckets when you pick up your order. Them them in this solution until you are ready to get to work making your bouquets.

Can you give me some examples of the Grower's Choice Buckets?

We have a few different options available in the shop. Regardless of the option that you choose each one has 6 bunches of flowers and/or greenery.  You give us a little color direction and we choose what goes in it.

You can tell us something like: "bright and summery but no sunflowers" or "soft pastels and greenery" or "peach and orange with assorted accent colors".

Balanced: A balanced bucket might have:

  • 2 bunches of mint, 2 bunches of ranunculus, a bunch of feverfew, and a bunch of yarrow
  • 3 bunches of cosmos, 1 bunch of greenery, 2 bunches of zinnias, 1 bunch of celosia
  • 1 bunch of larkspur, 1 bunch of cress, 1 bunch of bupleurum, 1 bunch of anemones, 1 bunch of geum, 1 bunch of ranunculus
  • 2 bunches of snapdragons, 1 bunch of lupine, 2 bunches of sweet william, 1 bunch of cress
Bits & Bobs include things like:
  • Anemone, ranunculus, dahlias. Regular focal flowers with shorter stems.
  • Geum, sweet peas, bunny tails, columbine. The smaller, whimsical pieces.
  • Cress, mint, lady's mantel. Some (really great) varieties are just shorter than others.

Why is my order "pending approval"?

That just gives us a chance to look at your order before your credit card gets charged. We'll follow up with you in case you have some questions or need to adjust your order a little. We can make changes on our end before charging your card.

Can you make us some bouquets?

Nope. Not our thing. But we know people. If you are placing a bulk order to DIY your centerpieces but you want a professional to do the bouquets (or other items) you can ask us for a referral. We'll give you a few names of people who buy flowers from us. We can make sure to include some of the same flowers in your bulk order that they are also planning to use. That way it all looks good together.

I'm not totally sure when I want to pick up my flowers.

No worries. You can select your best guess at check out and we can adjust it afterwards. We generally recommend a day or two ahead of the day that you need them. So probably Thursday or Friday.

Also we're going to be in touch to confirm pick up details a few days before.

I think I need more! Can I add on to my order?

Absolutely! You can just place another order online or you can email us. If it's for the same person on the same day we'll assume it's all for you.

We think that it's a great compromise to reserve some grower's choice buckets in advance and then also place an order the week before for some more specific bunches.

    Can I cancel my order?

Probably not. Once orders are paid for they are considered final and cannot be canceled. For the grower's choice buckets, we will follow up after your order has been placed but before your credit card is charged. You may choose to cancel your order during this time before your card is charged.

What if I got something that was poor quality?

We try our best to only send out high quality product but sometimes things happen.

For delivered items, we need you to report it to us via email with some images within 24 hours of receipt. Please note that we cannot be responsible for the product once it has left our care. If it is possible we wil try to replace the product in question.

For orders that you are picking up, you are responsible for checking your order and raising concerns before you leave the farm.

We will determine if your claim qualifies for replacement, partial, full, or no credit and notify you within one week or your claim.
